NeuroPsych Regional Specialty Manager – San Antonio Valley | Neurocrine Biosciences

• Pay: $169000–$231000 yearly
• Team: Leads a regional sales team, collaborating with commercial cross-functional teams.
• Mission: Lead a regional sales team to promote life-changing treatments and exceed sales goals for serious neurological, endocrine, and psychiatric disorders.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead a Sales Team: Recruit, develop, and coach a diverse, high-performing regional sales team to consistently exceed sales objectives.
• Drive Sales Strategy: Implement regional sales strategies, develop targeted approaches for psychiatric and neurological markets, and identify opportunities to overcome barriers to team success.
• Manage Performance: Consistently observe and coach account specialists in the field, providing regular performance feedback and holding the team accountable for executing sales strategies.
• Engage Stakeholders: Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals within the region, coordinating with pharmacies and payers to optimize market access.
• Ensure Operations: Manage regional budgets and expenses effectively while ensuring strict compliance with Neurocrine policies, FDA guidelines, and industry standards.
The Must-Haves
• Background: BS/BA degree with 8+ years of sales experience in the biotech/pharmaceuticals industry, including 3+ years of first-line sales management experience.
• Experience: Demonstrated track record of successfully building teams and launching products in complex, competitive environments, consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
• Skills: Strong sales disposition and business acumen, excellent communication and analytical thinking abilities, ability to lead through ambiguity and provide directional clarity, and a strong understanding of the healthcare regulatory environment.
• Bonus: Master’s degree or PhD preferred. Experience with developing an internal reputation in area of expertise, intellectual curiosity, and an entrepreneurial mindset suitable for startup environments.
