Sales Intern | Graco
The Tone:
This is a home-based Sales Intern position at Graco, requiring travel within the assigned territory. Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense, and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials, which means Graco is part of daily life, from pumping peanut butter to spraying car finishes. This role is crucial as the intern will be responsible for generating sales growth of designated Contractor Equipment products, using a hands-on demonstration and education-focused selling approach. It’s an opportunity to make a tangible impact and contribute to the company’s progress while developing valuable skills.

• Team: Works closely with Graco Contractor Equipment Field Sales and Paint Store Channel Distribution
• Mission: Generate sales growth of designated Contractor Equipment products in assigned markets using a demonstration and education-focused selling approach

What You’ll Actually Do
• Sales Growth: Grow sales of designated Contractor Equipment products in the assigned market.
• End-User Targeting: Use provided database resources to target specific end-users for Graco products.
• Product Demonstrations: Conduct effective hands-on demonstrations of select Graco equipment to potential customers.
• Lead Management: Maintain a database of all daily activities, including hands-on demonstrations and sales leads.
• Sales Coordination: Coordinate all market activities and collaborate with local CED sales staff to ensure leads are converted into sales promptly.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical field. This entry-level position is aimed at sophomore- and junior-level college students.
• Experience: Hands-on, physical work experience; evidence of mechanical aptitude.
• Skills: Effective communication skills, hands-on demonstration capability, sales closing experience or capability, basic paint coatings knowledge, willingness and ability to travel within assigned geography with assigned sales reps.
• Bonus: Painting experience.
