The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Allegion, located remotely with initial training in Denver, Colorado. Allegion helps keep people safe and secure, specializing in security around the doorway and beyond with over 40 brands and 14,000+ employees globally. This Sales Development Program is an immersive, 9-month program designed to prepare you as a Specification Consultant, creating peace of mind by providing access solutions and pioneering safety and security through detailed door hardware specifications.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Training & Development: Complete a 9-month immersive program, including classroom training in Denver, Colorado, and supervised specification writing in a regional sales office, to master Allegion products, industry codes, and best practices.
• Specification Creation: Develop technical hardware sets and detailed specifications for the architectural community, ensuring code compliance for new construction projects and aftermarket requests.
• Client Consultation: Provide expert solutions and guidance to architects regarding product application requirements, including access control, electrical needs, and specialty doors.
• Project Collaboration: Participate in pre and post-installation meetings, assist with revisions, coordinate access control, and manage requests for information throughout all project phases.
• Market Intelligence: Maintain excellent industry and competitor product knowledge by reviewing market data and adapting to marketplace changes to ensure best-in-class customer experiences.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Demonstrated strong mechanical and electronics aptitude.
• Experience: Proficiency with MS Office tools and the ability to quickly learn industry-specific software.
• Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills, exemplary verbal and written communication abilities, and an aptitude for influencing with actionable goals.
• Bonus: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Architecture, or a Technical field.
