As a Sales and Operations Management Trainee, you will play a critical role in running business operations and solving problems for customers, directly contributing to their success. This position is vital for cultivating future managers within the company, supported by ongoing training and mentorship in various business aspects including sales, operations, finance, customer service, and technology.

• Mission: This person will own the development of customer solutions, management of vehicle inventory for profitability, and generation of new business, ensuring customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Solutions: Develop comprehensive consumer and commercial customer solutions for local and national accounts, including many of the Fortune 500 companies.
• Fleet Management: Manage Penske’s large inventory of world-class and nationally recognized vehicles, strategically balancing fleet productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Business Development: Generate new business leads and proactively foster strong relationships with existing customers to ensure ongoing success.
• Service Excellence: Ensure complete customer satisfaction by quickly addressing needs and solving problems in an active service environment.
• Business Operations: Apply management principles to run business operations and quickly solve daily challenges, supported by training in sales, operations, finance, and technology.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s degree. Career level: Entry-level.
• Experience: No specific years of experience required.
• Skills:
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Results-oriented, with attention to detail and good time management skills.
• A valid driver’s license, and the ability and willingness to drive Penske vehicles, including a 26’ box truck.
• Bonus:
• Preferred concentration in Business or Marketing for the Bachelor’s degree.
• Internship or related work experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
