What You’ll Actually Do
• Instruction: Deliver educational programs specifically within the Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) assignment.
• Certification Maintenance: Ensure continuous successful certification by the United States Army for the position.
• Credential Compliance: Maintain and present the appropriate state teaching credential issued related to the specific assignment and grade level.
• Professional Development: Participate in and complete the mandatory New Hire Bootcamp for new certificated staff.
• District Engagement: Report for work as a certificated staff member on scheduled dates according to the district calendar.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum qualification for this certificated role is successful certification by the United States Army. Candidates must possess a Designated Subjects Special Subjects Teaching Credential – Reserve Officers Training Corps, along with English Learners (EL) authorization, for the assignment and grade level within Modesto City Schools.
• Experience: Candidates must demonstrate the capability to meet and maintain all required military certifications and state teaching credentials as prerequisites for employment.
• Skills: Specialized instruction within a military training context, adherence to state teaching credentialing standards, and the ability to provide instruction for English Learners (EL).
