The Tone:
This is a two-year rotational program at Evonik, a global chemical company with 33,000 colleagues, focusing on early career engineers. This role is crucial for supporting process optimization, capital projects, and operational excellence across manufacturing and engineering functions within a dynamic chemical manufacturing environment.

The TL;DR
• Role: Rotational Program Participant
• Type: Full-time
• Location: In-person – Multiple US locations (rotational)
• Pay: $85,000–$90,000 yearly
• Mission: Apply and expand technical, project management, and problem-solving skills in a chemical manufacturing environment to support process optimization, capital projects, and operational excellence.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office applications

What You’ll Actually Do
• Optimize: Increase productivity and reliability of processes or equipment by providing technical and methodological assistance to production and operations areas.
• Evaluate: Assess concepts for expansions, quality increases, and production availability within small and mid-sized Capital Investment Projects.
• Support: Provide technical support for basic engineering, detail engineering, process development, and scale-up of customer or production processes.
• Act: Serve in various site assignments, which may include process, project, maintenance & reliability engineering, or roles within a subject matter expert team.
• Collaborate: Partner with cross-functional departments such as procurement, plant engineering, supply chain, EHSQ, and HR to ensure effective project and task execution.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, to be received in Spring 2027, for an early-career engineering role.
• Experience: Entry-level professional beginning employment in July 2027, with a strong willingness to relocate to different regions (NA and/or internationally) for the two-year program duration. Authorized to work in the US without restriction.
• Skills: Knowledgeable in engineering fundamentals, standard industry practices, regulatory requirements, and operations management; demonstrated ability to think critically and solve problems; excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Bonus: Previous Co-Op or internships in the chemical industry; ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization; capacity to excel in a project team environment with high adaptiveness to variable situations.
