The Tone:
This is an early career role at Boston Medical Center, located in Boston, MA. Boston Medical Center has designed a comprehensive transition to practice program for new graduate nurses, incorporating the Nurse of the Future Nursing Core Competencies. This role is crucial for integrating new Registered Nurses into the institution, providing them with individualized education, dedicated preceptors, and support from Nursing Professional Development Specialists. It aims to foster opportunities for mentorship, camaraderie, and experiential learning as new nurses progress through orientation in cohorts.

• Pay: $38.10–$77.63 hourly
• Team: Reports directly to the Unit Nurse Director.
• Mission: To provide comprehensive patient care and achieve clinical, educational, quality, and fiscal patient care outcomes as a new graduate Registered Nurse.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Assess: Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for patients and their families across the health care continuum.
• Diagnose: Formulate accurate nursing diagnoses based on patient needs and conditions.
• Plan: Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
• Intervene: Execute nursing interventions to support patient health and recovery.
• Evaluate: Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided and patient outcomes.
• Coordinate: Coordinate care for patients and their families.
• Account: Maintain accountability for clinical, educational, quality, and fiscal patient care outcomes, adhering to established policies and standards.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career Registered Nurse, prepared to join a structured new graduate residency program.
• Experience: Graduated from nursing school within twelve (12) months before their date of hire.
• Skills: Possess active BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers; must pass NCLEX prior to interview; receive a Flu Shot prior to start.
• Bonus: Ability to provide a Letter of Intent and two letters of Recommendation, preferably from Managers and/or Instructors.
