Revenue Associate | AVEVA
The Tone:
This is a full-time hybrid role at AVEVA, located in Lake Forest, CA, requiring three days a week in the office. AVEVA creates software trusted by over 90% of leading industrial companies to deliver essentials like energy and infrastructure more sustainably. This role is important for the Financial Control function, as it directly supports the review and validation of revenue contracts, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance for U.S. and Canadian entities. The Revenue Associate contributes to timely month-end and quarter-end close activities and maintains critical documentation.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Contract Review: Review customer contracts and supporting documentation to ensure accurate setup and revenue recognition in accordance with company policies.
• Transaction Validation: Perform revenue transaction reviews and validate revenue schedules for accuracy and completeness.
• Close Support: Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end revenue close activities, including reviewing orders and contract modifications.
• Data Integrity: Validate revenue data and investigate discrepancies between source systems and financial reports.
• Documentation & Audit: Maintain accurate contract files and revenue accounting documentation for record retention and assist in preparing audit requests.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelors degree or higher with an understanding of commercial contracts and revenue accounting principles.
• Experience: One to two years of revenue accounting experience in the software industry.
• Skills: Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, reconciliations, and handling large datasets, along with strong attention to detail and effective collaboration.
• Bonus: IFRS experience, Oracle software experience, ability to use AI-assisted tools to improve reporting efficiency, documentation quality, and business insights.
