Retail Management Intern | Love’s Travel Stops

This is an 11-week retail management internship at Love’s Travel Stops, providing practical experience across various travel center locations. What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Training: Gain comprehensive hands-on experience across all facets of travel center operations, including store, fuel, food service, and truck care.
• Business Acumen: Develop core business skills by learning strategies to drive sales, effectively manage operational costs, and support overall profitability.
• Leadership Development: Acquire practical leadership abilities through training in team management, staffing processes, and effective employee development practices.
• Customer Service Excellence: Practice and refine skills in delivering exceptional customer service and adeptly resolving various customer issues and concerns.
• Operational Standards: Assist in maintaining high operational standards, which includes tasks related to merchandising, accurate inventory management, and policy enforcement.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year college program, actively pursuing a degree in business, management, hospitality, or a closely related field of study. This is an entry-level internship opportunity.
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience is required, though a willingness to learn and apply skills in a demanding customer-focused environment is essential.
• Skills: Confident and clear communication skills for interacting effectively with both customers and team members; a strong willingness to actively learn through practical application; ability to competently navigate and utilize various computer programs, systems, and technological tools.
