What You’ll Actually Do
• Journal Entries: Prepare journal entries as part of the Accounts Payable team’s regular tasks.
• Reconciliations: Prepare reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Vendor Review: Review vendor creation requests to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Match Review: Conduct three-way match reviews for invoices and purchase orders.
• Project Support: Assist with other assigned projects within the Accounts Payable department.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree program with a focus in Accounting, with an anticipated graduation date between September 2026 and December 2026, or a candidate who has recently obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in Accounting.
• Experience: Commitment to a 12-week internship program, requiring 40 hours per week of work within normal business hours, Monday through Friday.
• Skills: Strong planning and execution abilities, including asking clarifying questions, prioritizing high-priority work, ensuring correctness, and accurately surfacing problems. Demonstrated drive for results by taking personal responsibility, exerting extra effort for important outcomes, setting high personal standards, and timely task completion. A focus on process improvement, which involves suggesting ideas, reporting data accurately, monitoring output quality, and proposing solutions to breakdowns. Effective communication skills, including careful listening, clear and concise articulation, providing appropriate detail, accurate writing, and keeping others informed. The ability to build collaborative relationships by relating to others respectfully, identifying common interests, remaining positive in difficult situations, and involving others when issues affect them.
• Bonus: A GPA of 3.2 or higher is preferred.
