Position: Respiratory Therapist (RT) – New Graduate

Location: Select Specialty Hospital – Columbus – Vic Village

Schedule: Full-time / 12-hour shifts / Nights

Compensation: $35 per hour

Sign-on Bonus: $15,000

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan tailored to their specific needs.
  • Providing advanced respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
  • Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Actively promoting continuous quality improvement initiatives within the department and hospital.
  • Teaching and counseling patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatments, and home care.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support patient care and hospital operations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program for Respiratory Therapy.
  • Must possess an “Active” CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or an equivalent state credential.
  • Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • Current state licensure required. A student or educational permit to practice is acceptable based on individual state regulations.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required within 6 months of hire.
