Research Associate – Apollo Thematic Investing | Apollo Global Management, Inc.

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Apollo Global Management, Inc. Apollo is a global alternative asset manager with over three decades of investing expertise, focused on yield, hybrid, and equity strategies. This role is crucial for the Apollo Thematic Investing (ATI) team, which sharpens the firm’s investment edge by developing differentiated thematic perspectives across public and private markets. The Research Associate will be central to researching, writing, and creating investment insights at the intersection of macroeconomics, markets, technology, and geopolitics.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research Content and Communication: Draft, edit, and refine a range of ATI outputs, including thematic research reports, market commentary, and investor materials.
• Research Operations and Workflow Management: Support the coordination and execution of research workflows across multiple projects and stakeholders.
• Thematic Research and Investment Insights: Conduct thematic and market research across macroeconomics, geopolitics, technology, and secular industry trends.
• Thematic Research and Investment Insights: Synthesize quantitative and qualitative research inputs into clear investment narratives and thematic frameworks.
• Research Content and Communication: Assist in preparing research presentations and briefing materials for senior leadership and investment teams.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier accredited institution, ideally in Economics, Finance, Political Science, International Relations, Statistics, or Computer Science, with a strong foundation in financial markets, macroeconomic dynamics, and investment research.
• Experience: 3–5 years of experience in investment research, strategy, equity research, investment banking, consulting, or macro research, with demonstrated ability to produce research reports, market commentary, or investment-oriented content.
• Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills; strong analytical and critical thinking; excellent project management and organizational skills; and a strong understanding of macroeconomic and market dynamics.
• Bonus: Quantitative, statistical, or data analysis experience; familiarity with AI tools, research automation, or data analytics platforms; and strong PowerPoint and presentation drafting skills.
