Equity Research Analyst/Associate- Payments, Processors & IT Services | Bank of America

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Bank of America, located in-person in New York, NY. Bank of America is a large global financial institution providing a broad range of banking, investment, asset management, and other financial products and services. This role is crucial in generating insightful financial research and analysis on the Payments, Processors, and IT Services sectors, directly informing clients and contributing to the bank’s intellectual capital. The work supports investment decisions and helps identify high-growth companies with disruptive potential within these key industries.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Model: Perform complex financial modeling and valuation work for covered companies.
• Write: Produce regular industry and company reports, including new company launch initiations.
• Develop: Create and maintain databases that are integral to the research product.
• Build: Establish relationships and facilitate information flow with contacts at covered companies.
• Engage: Participate in and contribute to client meetings, events, and regular client interactions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience. Must have a basic understanding of Finance, Accounting, Economics, macroeconomic factors, international affairs, and policy/politics.
• Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience is required. Sell-side or buy-side research or investment banking experience is preferred.
• Skills: Expert proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel, including strong modeling skills. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and a strong intellectual curiosity.
• Bonus: Credit skills are a plus.
