Senior Relationship Manager, Business Banking – Retail Banking Group | Mashreq

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Mashreq, located in United Arab Emirates. Mashreq’s Retail Banking Group focuses on providing financial services within the Business Banking Division, specifically for Trade & Working Capital (TWC) relationships. This role is crucial for managing and growing a portfolio of business clients, driving revenue, and maintaining the quality of credit facilities. The ideal candidate will contribute to the bank’s objectives by actively sourcing new customers and deepening existing client relationships.

• Mission: To manage existing and solicit acceptable new Trade & Working Capital relationships for the Business Banking Division, meeting pre-set financial and non-financial objectives.

What You’ll Actually Do
Relationship Management: Manage and solicit new Trade & Working Capital (TWC) relationships within the Business Banking Division to meet financial and non-financial objectives.
Business Development: Actively source new-to-bank customers and generate new business leads from walk-in clients, screening the market for NTB opportunities within defined segments.
Revenue Generation: Enhance relationship revenue from existing borrowing and non-borrowing accounts by cross-selling, up-selling, and deep-selling the complete range of bank products.
Credit Portfolio Oversight: Conduct timely annual and periodic credit facility reviews, recommending appropriate facilities in line with credit policy, and ensuring satisfactory account conduct and early rectification of credit issues.
Operational Excellence: Assume complete ownership of the managed portfolio, providing superior customer service, maintaining effective control aspects, and adhering to all compliance and regulatory policies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Senior Relationship Manager with extensive banking sales and service experience, specializing in relationship management within the Business Banking domain.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the local market, with proven success in managing and soliciting Trade & Working Capital relationships.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and analytical skills; in-depth awareness of various financial products and services; and an ability to adapt to rapid digitization and technological advancements.
• Bonus: An MBA or CA qualification is preferred.
