• Mission: Implement and evaluate diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Diagnose: Implement diagnostic respiratory services to assist physicians in patient diagnosis.
• Treat: Evaluate and implement therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in patient management.
• Educate: Participate in the education of patients, students, staff, and physicians.
• Support: Provide technical support for all equipment related to the practice of Respiratory Care.
• Assist: Help with general department functions as needed.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy. This role is suitable for individuals with an early career level, expected to operate under minimal direction.
• Experience: Obtain a Respiratory Therapist license from the State of Michigan within 90 days of hire. Achieve Respiratory Therapist Registry (CRT) certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within 90 days of hire. Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire.
• Skills: Delivering diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services, patient and staff education, and providing technical support for respiratory care equipment.
