Our team of skilled respiratory therapists works collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care, including advanced diagnostic testing, therapeutic interventions, and patient education. We utilize the latest technology and evidence-based practices to manage and treat a wide range of respiratory conditions, ensuring our patients receive the best possible outcomes. About Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital
Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital has proudly served residents across Southeast Michigan since 1953. With 632 beds, Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is a major teaching and research hospital and home to five residency programs and a cardiology fellowship in partnership with Wayne State University School of Medicine. Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is verified as a Level II trauma center and accredited by the Joint Commission as a primary stroke center. The hospital is also known for clinical excellence and innovation in the fields of orthopedics, neurosciences, women’s health, heart and vascular and cancer care.
Scope of Work
Under minimal direction, the Registered Respiratory Therapist:
- Implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders.
- Participates in the education of patients, students, staff, and physicians.
- Provides technical support for all equipment related to the practice of Respiratory Care.
- Assists with general department functions.
Qualifications
- Required: Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Required: LIC-Respiratory Therapist – STATE_MI State of Michigan (within 90 days of hire)
- Required: CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry – NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care (within 90 days of hire)
- Required: CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA American Heart Association OR CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – ARC American Red Cross (Upon Hire)
