The Float Pool supports various areas within both hospitals.

Job Description:

Position: PRN Registered Nurse (RN) – Float Pool

Unit: Memorial Belleville Shiloh – Float Pool

Shift: Days

Status: PRN (as needed)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, adhering to nursing standards.
• Promotes patient and family-centered care. Educates patients and families on managing their illness or injury, including post-treatment care and medication administration.
• Participates in patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Develops, implements, and documents individualized plans of care in collaboration with the interprofessional team, patient, family, or caregiver.
• Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs. Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, considering values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
• Experience: No Experience
• License: Current RN license.

Preferred Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Experience: Two Years ICU or ED Current Work Experience
