Behavior Technician | Cortica

The Tone:
This is a part-time role at Cortica, a company dedicated to specializing in neurodevelopmental disorders. Cortica helps children with autism and other developmental differences build essential communication, play, social, and daily life skills. As a Behavior Technician, you will be instrumental in applying Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to make a tangible difference in children’s lives. This role offers invaluable hands-on experience in psychology, education, and healthcare, welcoming all experience levels with comprehensive training and certification support.

The TL;DR

• Pay: $20.87–$28.00 hourly
• Team: Multidisciplinary team of doctors and therapists, collaborating with families and supervisors
• Mission: Help children with autism and other developmental differences build essential communication, play, social, and daily life skills.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Service Delivery: Provide 1:1 and group ABA services to children in clients’ homes and clinic settings.
• Data Management: Accurately document session data to meticulously track progress and support treatment goals.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with families and supervisors to cultivate supportive and enriching environments for clients.
• Protocol Adherence: Adhere strictly to Cortica’s crisis protocols, including effective de-escalation techniques and mandated reporting procedures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Early career level, with an interest in psychology, education, and healthcare.
• Experience: Experience working with children.
• Skills: Willingness to obtain BCAT credential within 90 days, ability to consistently travel within a 30–40-minute radius with reliable transportation, and proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office tools.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree is highly valued, and experience working with autism is a significant plus.
