Pre Grad Intern – Sam’s Part Time | Sam’s Club

The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at Sam’s Club, located in Lafayette, IN. Sam’s Club operates a membership-only retail warehouse, with a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy products and services. This role is crucial for gaining hands-on experience at the forefront of patient care, making a direct impact in the community by advocating for patient wellbeing and supporting the pharmacy team’s goals.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Confidentiality: Ensure all information, documentation, and assigned records remain confidential according to company policies and all local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Order Processing: Help with processing prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) orders and purchases.
• Patient Care: Deliver patient care by recognizing individual patient needs, assessing them, and assisting with navigation of clinical therapies.
• Inventory Management: Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers to maintain pharmacy inventory.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Enrolled in an accredited Pharmacy school.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices; Experience with managing inventory and maintaining the pharmacy area; Commitment to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.
• Skills: Excellent ability to foster relationships with customers and the pharmacy team; Capability to cater to individual patient needs; Enthusiasm for participating in community activities, outreach, and events.
• Bonus: Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.
