Behavior Technician | ACES

The Tone:
This is a permanent part-time role at ACES, providing direct therapy in centers or home-based settings. ACES is dedicated to helping children with autism reach their full potential using evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques. What You’ll Actually Do
• Therapy Delivery: Provide individualized 1:1 ABA therapy to children in designated centers or within their homes.
• Behavior Reinforcement: Apply learned techniques from the industry-leading training program to reinforce positive behaviors in clients.
• Progress Tracking: Utilize a company-issued iPad and dedicated data systems to effectively record and monitor client progress.
• Collaborative Support: Work closely with client families and clinical supervisors to ensure and support each child’s ongoing development.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma or GED required. This is an early career role suitable for those starting in the behavioral health field.
• Experience: No prior experience with autism is required; comprehensive best-in-class training is provided. Previous experience working with children, such as a camp counselor, nanny, or preschool teacher, is a plus.
• Skills:
• Demonstrate exceptional patience and empathy, combined with a genuine passion for supporting children and their families affected by autism.
• Possess strong communication skills, critical for effective interaction with both children under therapy and their caregivers.
• Exhibit sound judgment and adaptability, enabling effective navigation of various and often dynamic client situations.
• Comfortable with tablet-based technology for efficient data entry and client progress tracking.
• Maintain reliable transportation, a valid in-state driver’s license (with specific military/student exemptions), and active car insurance for home-based therapy.
• Commit to availability during peak demand times for families, typically in the afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays.
• Successfully complete and commit to obtaining the paid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT®) certification through ACES’ virtual training program.
• Bonus: Experience in roles like a teacher’s aide, paraprofessional, or childcare volunteer is advantageous but not mandatory.
