Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) – MHC 3 East Internal Med Unit
This is a full-time (0.9 FTE) position for a Registered Nurse on the MHC 3 East Internal Med Unit at UCHealth UCHlth Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs, CO. The role requires night shifts.
Pay:
The hourly pay ranges from $35.29 to $54.71, with the exact rate dependent on the applicant’s relevant experience.
Minimum Requirements:
• Education:
• Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if the applicant has less than 3 years of experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Licensure:
• Current State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Certifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification. This must be through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, with the card in-hand before the start date and valid through sixty days of hire.
• Any other relevant life support certifications as determined at the position level.
• Experience:
• A minimum of 6 months of nursing (RN) experience.

Acute Care Specifics:
• Unit Focus: Direct patient care will be provided in specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) Units.
• Patient Acuity: The units manage patients of moderate to high acuity.
• Care Models: Evidence-based care models for each unit incorporate the American Medical-Surgical Nurses (AMSN) core curriculum and various specialty certification standards.
• Support & Training: Clinical Educators are available to support and guide individualized specialty education and training, ensuring competency validation throughout the clinical orientation period.
