Registered Nurse | PCH Princeton Community Hospital

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at PCH Princeton Community Hospital, located in Princeton, West Virginia. This position is vital for delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients in an inpatient hospital setting. The Registered Nurse is accountable for applying clinical knowledge and independent judgment to ensure quality patient care outcomes and support the overall mission of the hospital.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Care Delivery: Deliver nursing care with authority, responsibility, and shift accountability, utilizing the nursing process.
• Patient Assessment: Assess and interpret patient data to identify age-specific requirements and provide relevant care based on principles of growth and development.
• Clinical Decision-Making: Implement appropriate clinical decisions and initiate actions to correct, reduce, or prevent risks to patient health status.
• Delegation & Accountability: Appropriately delegate patient care tasks to assigned personnel, providing follow-up and accepting accountability for care provided by self and others.
• Professional Development: Assume responsibility for the development of others, engage in mentoring, and foster professional growth and collaborative practice within the healthcare team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current Registered Nurse license from the state of service or multi-state license (eNLC), OR a current Temporary/Graduate RN permit as required by state board (PA/WV). Must obtain permanent RN license within state-specific timelines.
• Experience: Application of competent clinical knowledge and skills at the novice level, with a focus on independent nursing judgment for patient care. Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• Skills: Competent clinical practice and critical thinking; independent nursing judgment; ability to assess and interpret patient data; interpersonal skills for communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
• Bonus: Bachelors of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN).
