What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to an assigned group of patients, operating under minimal supervision.
• Needs Assessment: Match the specific needs of patients with your nursing competencies to ensure effective and personalized care delivery.
• Professional Development: Successfully complete all established competencies for the Registered Nurse position within the designated introductory period.
• Operational Support: Perform other related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall functioning of the healthcare team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience: Requires Med/Surg experience, specifically with the completion of a Basic Oncology Nursing and Cancer Chemotherapy Course for Oncology and Infusion Clinic. A minimum of 2 years in acute care, particularly in Med/Surg and/or Oncology, is preferred.
• Skills: Possession of a current Texas State License for Registered Nurse is mandatory. Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification on hire (ARC or AHA), with an AHA Healthcare Provider BLS required within 60 days of hire.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree, 2 years of acute care experience in Med/Surg and/or Oncology, and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification.
