NeuroPsych Regional Specialty Manager | Neurocrine Biosciences

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Neurocrine Biosciences, located in the Minneapolis Northwoods region. • Mission: Lead a regional sales team to exceed sales goals for life-changing treatments for neurological, endocrine, and psychiatric disorders.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Leadership & Talent Management: Recruit, develop, and retain a diverse, high-performing regional sales team, providing strategic direction, performance coaching, and ensuring proper onboarding for new members.
• Sales Strategy & Execution: Drive the regional implementation of sales strategies to meet or exceed sales objectives, developing targeted approaches for psychiatric and neurological markets, and identifying opportunities to remove barriers to team success.
• Performance Management & Coaching: Analyze sales data and market trends to inform strategic decisions, hold the team accountable for execution, and consistently spend time in the field observing and coaching performance.
• Regional Operations & Compliance: Manage regional budgets and expenses effectively, ensure compliance with Neurocrine policies, FDA guidelines, and industry standards, and maintain open communication with headquarters.
• External Engagement & Market Access: Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals, engage with local advocacy groups, coordinate with pharmacies and payers for market access, and collaborate cross-functionally with other departments.

The Must-Haves
• Background: BS/BA degree with 8+ years of sales experience in the biotech/pharmaceuticals industry, including 3+ years of first-line sales management experience.
• Experience: A demonstrated track record of successfully building sales teams or territories, proven sales performance (meeting/exceeding quotas, rankings, recognition awards), and successful launch experience in complex, competitive environments.
• Skills: Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, impactful communication skills, strong sales disposition, and business acumen.
• Bonus: Master’s degree or PhD preferred, along with an entrepreneurial mindset suitable for startup environments.
