Recycle Sales Fiber Coordinator | WestRock

This Recycle Sales Fiber Coordinator position is crucial for managing the high-volume movement of recyclable materials generated through the converting production process. These materials are directed to internal WestRock mills and external customers, often involving trucks, rail, and export. The role serves as the first point of contact, building strong business rapport and customer trust while supporting sales, logistics, and accounting functions.

• Mission: Manage the movement of recyclable materials from production to internal mills and external customers.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Material Movement: Execute supplier and customer orders for recyclable materials, promptly resolving inquiries and addressing any shipment concerns.
• Optimize Logistics: Coordinate weekly commodity allocations and logistics to ensure optimal mill inventories are maintained and deliveries are consistently on-time.
• Adapt Schedules & Records: Proactively adjust operational schedules in response to market fluctuations and supply chain constraints, while also maintaining accurate account profiles with up-to-date contact, scheduling, and commodity data.
• Ensure Quality & Service: Address quality and safety exceptions with urgency to minimize costs and prevent service disruptions, and achieve weekly performance metrics for operational consistency.
• Strengthen Partnerships: Serve as the primary liaison between sales, suppliers, customers, and internal teams to resolve issues, uphold service excellence, support new account onboarding, and resolve payment or invoice discrepancies.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level position requiring a High School diploma.
• Experience: Prior recycling experience is not required for this role.
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), strong typing and data entry abilities, and the capacity to quickly learn new systems.
• Bonus: A BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in high-volume customer service or account management.
