Major Responsibilities

As a Receptionist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties to provide comprehensive support to your assigned supervisor.
  • Coordinating work effectively within your department and collaborating seamlessly with other departments.
  • Responding promptly and professionally to inquiries and requests for information.
  • Interacting with residents, families, and colleagues in a courteous, tactful, friendly, and cooperative manner while addressing issues, complaints, inquiries, and questions.
  • Reading and managing correspondence and memos directed to administration, handling routine matters by drafting responses or redirecting them to the appropriate parties for expedited handling.
  • Preparing and developing confidential and routine correspondence, reports, forms, business documents, and special mailings.
  • Undertaking preliminary work on various projects as assigned.
  • Preparing, receiving, and directing inter-office and U.S. mail, including preparing bulk mailings for distribution.
  • Organizing, monitoring, and maintaining general administrative records and filing systems with precision.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to residents and their families as needed.
  • Reviewing and maintaining time and attendance records for supervisor’s approval prior to submission to the payroll department.
  • Entering missed punches for staff and agency employees and reconciling hours daily.
  • Coordinating room setups and arranging refreshments for meetings and conferences.
  • Contributing to innovative, responsible healthcare through the creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Preferred Education: A two (2) year college degree or equivalent, with an emphasis in a business curriculum, is preferred.
  • Personal Attributes: You must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to delivering a job well done.
