Job Description: Real Estate Intern

NCG is seeking a highly motivated intern for a Summer–Fall term in its New York office, located at 135 East 47th Street, New York, NY. This is a paid internship requiring a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week.

The selected candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the development and operations of a luxury residential project in Midtown Manhattan. Additionally, the intern will assist with active acquisition initiatives and contribute to fund formation efforts. This unique opportunity provides hands-on experience in real estate development, investment, and fund management within the dynamic New York City market.

Key Responsibilities:

The Real Estate Intern will work closely with senior team members and contribute to various facets of the real estate development and investment process, including:

Conducting detailed financial analyses and underwriting of potential investments, which involves creating financial models and sensitivity scenarios.
Performing comprehensive market research, including gathering and analyzing data on market conditions, comparable properties, and key economic indicators.
Preparing investment memoranda and presentations for both internal discussions and external stakeholders.
Supporting due diligence efforts, such such as reviewing property financials, lease agreements, financing documentation, and third-party reports.
Maintaining up-to-date records of the investment pipeline, market intelligence, and portfolio metrics for ongoing reporting and analysis.

Qualifications:

Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in real estate investment, or a related field.
• A demonstrated interest in and commitment to learning about real estate investment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe. Familiarity with real estate-specific software is a plus.
Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Mandarin fluency is preferred but not required.
