About the Job: Real Estate Intern

Explore a career in real estate through a hands-on internship that provides exposure to portfolio finance, real estate development, and sustainability. Interns will support active development projects by conducting financial and “what-if” analyses, creating presentation decks, and collaborating closely with project managers across the portfolio.

You’ll build stronger analytical and detail-oriented skills while reviewing schedules tied to legal agreements, validating data, and potentially participating in market tours and site visits. This internship is offering immersive professional experience and a meaningful opportunity to gain real-world insight, develop practical skills, and lay the foundation for a future in real estate.

This in-person internship (2 vacancies) runs from late May through early August 2026, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm.

Job Summary

Interns are responsible for adhering to the program parameters of an internship plan for the assigned department(s). Such a program plan is intended to give exposure to the intern of key processes and workflows of the assigned department(s) and to help the intern gain real-world knowledge of business operations.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible for adhering to intern program guidelines in the department(s) assigned.
  • Must complete a variety of tasks designed to give maximum exposure to work processes.
  • Position expected to learn new and improve existing skillsets and apply them to practical situations at Kamehameha Schools.

Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the requirements listed.

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Enrolled in a post-secondary education program, or have graduated within the previous year.
  • Proficient in the use of the PC/Mac and standard office software.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently: sits, perform desk-based computer tasks and grasp light or fine manipulation, talk or hear.
  • Occasionally: stand and/or walk, write by hand, and lift and/or carry, push and/or pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
  • Rarely: twist, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, climb, reach or work above shoulder, or grasp forcefully.

Working Conditions

  • This position may involve traveling to various locations, including neighbor islands to conduct business.
  • Work is conducted in an office/school environment and may require work to be conducted in non-standard workplaces.
  • Work is typically conducted Monday through Friday at normal business hours but evening and weekend hours are often required to meet goals and objectives.

Compensation And Benefits

Pay Range: $18.00 – $20.00 Hourly
