Job Description: Public Relations Intern, Disney Entertainment

This internship presents a unique opportunity for aspiring public relations professionals to immerse themselves in the fast-paced and exciting realm of entertainment marketing. As a Public Relations Intern within Disney Entertainment, you will be an integral part of the Integrated Marketing Team, supporting the public relations function and gaining valuable experience across various aspects of integrated marketing.

Responsibilities:

Daily Media Monitoring: Track and analyze media coverage related to Disney+ and relevant industry trends. Compile comprehensive daily reports as needed.
PR Campaigns: Develop and execute strategic PR campaigns for upcoming Disney+ content releases. Assist in creating and managing press materials, including press releases, media kits, EDMs, and other assets. Collaborate with local PR agencies to ensure campaigns adhere to deadlines and objectives.
Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets and influencers. Provide support in coordinating press events, junkets, and other on-ground activities.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams within Disney Entertainment, such as social media, to ensure seamless integrated marketing efforts and a cohesive brand message.

Internship Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• Must be an undergraduate student and not yet graduated during the internship period.
• Available for a full-time internship commitment (Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm) between January and June 2025.
• Indicate your internship availability (start and end dates), expected graduation date, and marketing portfolio link (if applicable) in your resume and application.

Key Qualifications:

• Demonstrated interest or knowledge of The Walt Disney Company’s key brands: Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and Star.
• Highly self-motivated and meticulous, with a strong passion for communications.
• Ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic environment and thrive in a fast-paced work setting.
• Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for collaborating across teams.
• Self-starter who requires minimal supervision and can prioritize workload to meet deadlines and manage expectations.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and trends.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office and Keynote.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Experience with media monitoring tools is a plus.
