Property Accountant | Koury Corporation
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Koury Corporation, located in Greensboro, North Carolina. What You’ll Actually Do
• Property Accounting Management: Perform full-cycle accounting for a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, maintaining meticulous financial records.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for each property, alongside property budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Account Reconciliation & Maintenance: Diligently reconcile various accounts including bank statements, tenant ledgers, prepaids, fixed assets, note payables, and other balance sheet and income accounts.
• Transaction Processing: Track and manage all accounts receivable and accounts payable, process rent rolls, tenant billing, and conduct CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations.
• Compliance & Collaboration: Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies, while coordinating with property managers to verify the accuracy of financial data and supporting year-end audit preparations with external auditors.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An Entry-Level professional holding a Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting.
• Experience: Requires 0 to 3 years of accounting experience. Desired experience includes a focus on commercial real estate financials.
• Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, with strong knowledge and practical experience in Excel; exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all financial tasks; the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in an active environment; strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; and an aptitude for performing detailed work within an accounting system while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
• Bonus: Experience in commercial real estate is highly desired; familiarity or experience with SAGE 300CRE and MRI software is preferred.
