Project Team Intern | Granite Construction Incorporated

• Mission: To support the Project Team in managing, executing, and documenting field construction activities for various projects.
• Tech Stack: HeavyJob, FIS (Field Information Systems), MS Office applications
What You’ll Actually Do
• Field Operations Support: Communicate with Foremen and Superintendents to understand and assist with field construction operations.
• Stakeholder Relations: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, and the local community.
• Financial Tracking: Verify quantities in FIS and log them for accurate cost and revenue tracking purposes.
• Reporting & Documentation: Assist with generating and distributing daily cost reports and completing daily activity reports for both company and subcontractors.
• Site Progress Monitoring: Tour job sites daily with project leadership to verify quantities claimed and stay current on overall job progress.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum 2 years of education from an accredited college or university, with a focus on Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Experience: No specific work experience required.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, proficiency with MS Office applications, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: Previous construction experience is considered a plus.
