This is a Limited Term Employment role at Mayo Clinic, which may be located remotely in the USA. This role is crucial for independently planning, directing, coordinating, and delivering broad-scope projects that hold department or site-level strategic importance. The Project Manager ensures project objectives are met on time, within budget, and in adherence to Mayo Clinic’s project management methodologies.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Leadership: Independently lead one or multiple medium to large projects of strategic importance through the entire project life cycle.
• Objective Achievement: Achieve project objectives and completion on time, on budget, and in conformance to Mayo Clinic project management methodologies and standards.
• Budget Management: Manage established project budgets and actively participate in the creation and tracking of project budgets, adhering to institutional guidelines.
• Agile Implementation: Guide and coach project teams on Agile practices and values, monitoring scrum processes and meetings to increase efficiency and ensure quality.
• Impediment Resolution: Remove impediments for the team, or guide them to do so, escalating issues to management when appropriate.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, or management.
• Experience: 7 years of experience in Project Management and business-related activities, or a Master’s degree with 4 years of experience in Project Management related activities.
• Skills: Strict adherence to budget management, strong business acumen, ability to work with diverse functions and build relationships, and application of Agile methodologies.
• Bonus: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, Certified Product Management, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner, and/or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP).
