The Tone:
This is an internship at Enerfab, an industrial fabrication and construction company with over 120 years of experience. Enerfab, founded in 1901, specializes in shop fabrication, field erection, construction, and maintenance services for the chemical, food & beverage, oil & gas, heavy industrial, and power industries. • Mission: This role is critical for supporting project teams across various stages of construction projects, from initial estimation and document creation to project execution, closeout, and ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Tech Stack: Bluebeam, CAD, Microsoft Office, Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Blueprint Reading: Utilize a variety of computer programs, including Bluebeam and CAD, for both 2D and 3D drawings.
• Project Execution: Work with the Project Team to identify and produce project-specific technical and commercial documents that aid in the execution of active construction projects.
• Cost Estimating: Assist lead estimators with developing comprehensive project estimates for new opportunities.
• RFI/Submittal Processes: Provide appropriate documentation to support various departments, which may include specific specifications, drawings, and scope of work.
• Project Closeout Procedures: Collect necessary documents, review change orders and modifications, ensure order specifications are met, and gather takeaways for future learning.
• Safety & Quality Management: Conduct root cause analysis of any events to ensure proper controls are utilized to prevent further instances.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled and working towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management.
• Experience: Experience in Windows applications, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Skills: Self-motivated, good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to provide thorough attention to detail.
• Bonus: Looking for a future in the construction field with a focus on industrial construction.
