Project Management / Test Engineering Intern | Bosch USA
The Tone:
This is a long-term internship at Bosch USA, located in in-person office and proving ground environments. Bosch invents high-quality technologies and services to shape the future, specifically through its Cross-Domain Computing Solutions division, which develops cutting-edge automotive systems and algorithms. This role plays a key part in the development and testing of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) for various OEM projects, enabling the intern to make a global impact through innovative technologies.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to gather and analyze data for driver assistance systems.
• Data Management: Manage endurance data collection efforts for functions such as AEB and ACC, serving as the main interface between vehicle drivers and the project team.
• Electrical Support: Utilize electrical knowledge to create or modify electrical cables or harnesses as required.
• System Verification: Support performance verification of ADAS systems at the vehicle level.
• Environmental Engagement: Engage in both office and proving ground environments to ensure comprehensive testing and development.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, or a related engineering field with completed computer coursework. This is an entry-level role with a strong interest in the automotive industry, specifically driver assistance and advanced embedded technologies.
• Experience: Must be at least 18 years old and available for an internship lasting at least one year. Requires familiarity with reading and interpreting technical specifications, electrical schematics, and electronic diagrams, along with comfort in in-vehicle testing. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and be able to pass a dynamic driving test.
• Skills: Excellent team and communication abilities, strong electrical knowledge for creating or modifying cables and harnesses, and proficiency in interpreting technical documents.
• Bonus: Knowledge of vehicle electronics and communication systems (e.g., CAN, Vector products), programming experience (e.g., C-Code, Visual Basic), hands-on electrical tasks (soldering, replacing connectors), participation in automotive clubs or competitions, familiarity with vehicle test methods (e.g., DVP&R, NHTSA/EU-NCAP Procedures), and experience with vehicle hoists and towing trailers.
