Payment Partnership Project Intern (Global Payment) – 2026 Start (MBA) | ByteDance

This is an internship opportunity at their San Jose, CA campus, operating under a hybrid work model. The role is within the Global Payment team’s Partnership function, which is crucial for delivering secure and efficient payment and financial services solutions across ByteDance platforms. This position enables the company to manage its payment partnership network effectively and supports significant business and product expansion efforts globally.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Partner Agreement Support: Support the full lifecycle of payment and ecosystem partner agreements, including drafting, tracking, organizing, and filing contracts, and maintaining contract databases.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate signature workflows and follow up on outstanding items with internal and external stakeholders, and manage renewal schedules.
• Cross-Functional Assistance: Assist with follow-ups across internal business lines and external payment channel partners, preparing meeting materials, tracking action items, and providing status updates.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, clean, and analyze payment and partnership data, building and maintaining dashboards and regular reports to track KPIs and partner performance.
• Market Research: Conduct in-depth research on the US payment landscape, covering competitive analysis, the regulatory environment, and PSP/acquirer benchmarking.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in an MBA program; available to work at least 4 days per week for a minimum of 6 months, able to come on-site to the San Jose campus at least 2–3 days per week.
• Experience: Prior experience in contract management, legal operations, vendor coordination, partnership operations, or business administration.
• Skills: Detail-oriented, highly organized, proficient in data analytics, proactive, reliable, comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Bonus: Experience working with large datasets or building recurring business reports; familiarity with data visualization tools.
