Arbitration Strategy Project Intern (TikTok Shop – US Operation) | TikTok

The Tone:
This is an internship at TikTok, located in Los Angeles, CA. TikTok is a global platform for short-form mobile video with over a billion users, striving to inspire creativity and bring joy. The company is actively scaling its e-commerce operations in the US, aiming to make TikTok the commerce channel of choice for merchants, creators, and affiliates. This role supports the TikTok Shop US operation team, which is building an innovative, secure, and intuitive e-commerce ecosystem. The intern will engage in impactful projects, gaining practical skills while contributing to the improvement of platform dispute resolution and overall user experience.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Temporary, at least 3 months
• Location: In-person, Los Angeles, CA
• Pay: $23.75 hourly
• Team: TikTok Shop US operation team responsible for building the TikTok Ecommerce partnership for the TikTok e-commerce business in the US.
• Mission: Assist in identifying common issues in platform disputes and improving processes to enhance the overall platform experience.
• Tech Stack: Excel or dashboards

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze: Analyze data and review user and merchant feedback to help identify common issues in platform disputes and support the team in improving processes.
• Document: Assist in documenting and improving after-sales dispute guidelines and service workflows across different scenarios and categories.
• Support: Support efforts to improve the overall platform experience by helping review policies, tracking feedback, and coordinating with cross-functional teams such as Product and Operations.
• Monitor: Monitor key business metrics, flag potential issues or unusual trends, and assist in tracking follow-up actions and improvements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Management, Data Science or a related major.
• Experience: Proven experience in operations, program, or project management, including hands-on experience in SOP development. Proven experience in analyzing data and identifying trends or insights to support team decisions and process improvements. Proven experience with basic data analysis tools.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn, take ownership of tasks, and maintain awareness of potential operational risks.
• Bonus: Experience in LLM application with enthusiasm for the application of AI in e-commerce services and an innovative spirit. An understanding of e-commerce platform rules, with relevant experience in strategic operations and service experience operations of large e-commerce platforms preferred.
