Category Manager Project Intern (TikTok Shop – Operation) – 2026 Start (BS/MS) | TikTok

What You’ll Actually Do
• Merchant Acquisition: Acquire and incubate merchants to contribute to the overall growth of the assigned category.
• Collaboration Model Development: Discover innovative collaborative models that align with merchants’ short-term and long-term development plans, investing platform resources efficiently.
• Business Growth Problem Solving: Address key challenges hindering business growth through strong collaboration with internal cross-functional teams.
• Consultative Solutions: Employ a consultative approach by providing strategic content, creator/affiliate/agency partner, merchandising, and logistical solutions to all clients.
• Product Updates: Inform clients about new TikTok Shop product developments and available promotional opportunities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with a preference for academic concentrations in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or related analytical fields. This role is designed for a student seeking real-world professional experience.
• Experience: While no specific years of experience are mandated, prior internship or full-time experience within an e-commerce marketplace business or retail category management is considered a valuable asset. The role requires a commitment to a minimum 3-month internship period.
• Skills: Demonstrated abilities in structured thinking, strong data sense, and analytical problem-solving are essential. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, and exhibit a data-driven mindset with proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets. Self-motivation and a detail-oriented approach are also key.
• Bonus: Familiarity with the TikTok content ecosystem, including shoppable content and dynamics of brand-creator partnerships, would be a strong advantage for this role.
