About the Job: Project Intern (TikTok Shop US Operation Team)

This internship offers an opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects, providing real-world professional experience and practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced environment. Interns will develop a deeper understanding of their career interests. The role requires a commitment of at least 3 months. The team is dedicated to scaling the viral phenomenon of #TikTokMadeMeBuyIt and pioneering Content & Creator commerce in the US. They are an entrepreneurial group passionate about shaping the future of shopping, aiming to make TikTok the leading, on-trend commerce platform for brands, creators, and shoppers.

The TikTok Shop US operation team specifically focuses on delivering high-quality products and a unique customer experience via TikTok. With over 1 billion loyal global users, TikTok is seen as an ideal platform to offer a new and improved e-commerce experience. The team is responsible for building TikTok’s e-commerce partnerships in the US and is looking for passionate individuals to help construct an innovative, secure, and intuitive e-commerce ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

Policy Analysis & Summarization: Review and analyze existing policies and documents, then summarize and synthesize key points into concise one-pagers for internal use.
Feedback Consolidation: Gather feedback from the account management team and consolidate it into actionable suggestions for cross-functional teams.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and create or modify documentation to support these improvements.
Communication & Follow-up: Assist in communicating and following up on key governance-related initiatives internally, providing timely feedback and updates to ensure alignment among stakeholders.
Action Plan Progress: Ensure timely progress against established improvement action plans.
Business Needs Liaison: Liaise with Global Network and Ecosystem (GNE) Points of Contact (POCs) to communicate business needs effectively.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Master’s degree, with a preference for fields such as Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or related disciplines.
Experience: Proven experience in e-commerce operations, management, or a related field.
Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for working effectively with cross-functional (XFN) teams.
Work Environment: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

TikTok Ecosystem Knowledge: Familiarity with the TikTok content ecosystem, shoppable content, and existing brand-creator partnerships.

Compensation & Benefits:

Hourly Rate: The hourly rate for this position is $23.75.
Benefits: Interns receive immediate access to health insurance, life insurance, and wellbeing benefits. They also accrue 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in the first half of the year, 40 hours if hired in the second half). Interns who are not working 100% remotely may also be eligible for a housing allowance. The company reserves the right to modify these benefits programs at any time.
