Job Description: Project Intern (US Operation Team – TikTok Shop)

This is a dynamic and impactful project-based internship within the US operation team of TikTok Shop. The role is designed to provide professional, real-world experience, practical skills through on-the-job learning, and a deeper understanding of career interests within a fast-paced work environment. Interns will play a vital role in executing various campaigns for iconic brands and contributing to cutting-edge initiatives that drive the yearly strategic modules for TikTok Shop.

Team Introduction & Role Context:
The e-commerce industry is a highly competitive and rapidly growing space. TikTok, with its vast global user base, is positioned to deliver a unique e-commerce experience. The US operation team is at the forefront of this effort, contributing to high-impact initiatives that connect brands with consumers meaningfully and help shape the future of e-commerce on the platform. As a Project Intern, you will be deeply involved in these efforts.

Responsibilities:

Campaign Execution Assistance: Support the execution of diverse TikTok Shop campaigns, including large-scale Platform Campaigns (e.g., Black Friday & Cyber Monday), Category Campaigns (e.g., Halloween), and Super Brand Campaigns. This involves assisting with resource allocation, merchant communication, and marketing strategy.
Resource Coordination: Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure the smooth implementation of various activities and initiatives.
Business Plan Contribution: Contribute to the development of campaign business plans by leveraging data analysis and research to gain insights into operational performance, providing strategic support for decision-making.
Marketing Strategy & Project Management: Participate in designing campaign marketing strategies, assist in overall project management, and facilitate collaboration between internal and external teams to ensure successful execution.
Cross-Team Communication & Implementation: Support critical cross-team communication for key campaign initiatives, collaborating with diverse teams such as industry experts, operations, user growth (UG), and product teams. Assist in project management and drive implementation across these teams.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or a graduate degree.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• High data sensitivity and proficiency in Excel formulas.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to coordinate internal and external stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Academic background in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Prior experience in e-commerce activities and/or marketing.
• Proficiency in data analysis software.
• Experience with design software is a plus.

Job Information & Compensation:

• This is a project-based internship.
• Candidates can apply to a maximum of two positions globally across TikTok and its affiliates. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and early application is encouraged.
Compensation: The hourly rate for this position in the selected city (Los Angeles County, as indicated by pay transparency notes) is $23.75 – $23.75.
Benefits for Interns: Interns receive day-one access to health insurance, life insurance, and wellbeing benefits. They also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in the first half of the year, 40 hours if hired in the second half). Interns not working 100% remotely may also be eligible for a housing allowance. Please note that benefits programs may be modified by the company.
