Job Description: Project Engineering Intern

Skanska is seeking a Project Engineering Intern to assist and support Project Managers and Superintendents on assigned projects. This internship offers exposure to various areas within project engineering, including:

• Engineering
• Field Engineering (mechanical or civil)
• Cost Engineering
• Safety Engineering
• Estimating
• Finance/Accounting
• Equipment/Maintenance

Responsibilities:

Under direct supervision and with mentorship, the intern will perform routine daily activities and gather/distribute information. Specific duties may include:

• Coordinating project activities
• Performing accounting activities
• Performing estimating functions
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge of basic phases of construction projects
• Knowledge of mathematics functions (geometry, basic algebra)
• Computer skills (MS Office, HCSS, CGC, etc)
• Ability to perform all work in a timely, professional, and efficient manner while effectively communicating and interacting with customers, clients, subcontractors, and other third parties
• Ability to present information in a clear and understandable manner in both written and verbal form
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience

Compensation:

• Hourly Pay: $20 – $23 per hour
