Job Description:
Lensa, a leading career site, is advertising a Project Engineering Intern position with Skanska in Cincinnati, OH.
This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in the construction industry. As a Project Engineering Intern, you will assist and support Project Managers and Superintendents on assigned projects. Responsibilities (with direct supervision and mentorship):
• Assist in coordinating project activities
• Perform basic accounting activities
• Support estimating functions
• Other duties as assigned across various project engineering disciplines such as:
• Engineering
• Field Engineering (Mechanical or Civil)
• Cost Engineering
• Safety Engineering
• Estimating
• Finance/Accounting
• Equipment/Maintenance
Required Qualifications:
• Knowledge of basic phases of construction projects
• Knowledge of mathematics functions (geometry, basic algebra)
• Computer skills (MS Office, HCSS, CGC, etc.)
• Ability to perform all work in a timely, professional, and efficient manner while effectively communicating and interacting with customers, clients, subcontractors, and other third parties
• Ability to present information in a clear and understandable manner in both written and verbal form
• Actively working towards a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Compensation:
• Hourly Pay: $20/hr to $23/hr
