As a Project Engineer, you will provide essential engineering support to project teams, taking on tasks with increasing independence. This position is crucial for designing and preparing technical engineering plans and coordinating project elements, contributing directly to the successful delivery of diverse projects.

• Team: Reports to a Project Lead within an engineering team.
• Mission: Understand, design, and independently prepare technical engineering plans while effectively collaborating with technicians to complete them.
• Tech Stack: AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Internet applications, Bluebeam, Agtek, Hydrology/Hydraulic Software

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop working drawings for various civil design plans, including grading, drainage, utility, stormwater management, and street frontage improvements, often from initial sketches using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Provide accurate design of on-site and off-site improvements for the planning and construction of commercial, industrial, and/or high-density residential projects, ensuring they are ready for construction.
• Perform various civil engineering calculations, prepare Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), and draft other necessary engineering reports.
• Assist in all technical aspects of projects, conducting engineering research and assessments, and coordinating with private consultants and public agencies.
• Manage personal time effectively across multiple tasks and projects to meet budgetary, quality, and schedule obligations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent level of experience.
• Experience: 0-5 years of experience in land development.
• Skills: Strong technical skills in civil design, general knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and Internet applications, along with experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bluebeam.
• Bonus: Engineering in Training (EIT) certification or scheduled to sit for the exam. Additional software experience (e.g., Agtek, Hydrology/Hydraulic Software).
