What You’ll Actually Do
• Coordinate special academic programs: Assist with the assessment and coordination of various special academic programs, including picking up students, organizing groups for testing, and assisting with new student placements.
• Support student attendance and documentation: Help teachers with daily attendance in both special academic programs and regular classrooms, prepare referrals and accompanying documentation, and manage home visit forms.
• Manage student data and resources: Enter assessment data into a database and spreadsheet, prepare student assessment folders, organize them into groups, and manage material inventory.
• Provide general administrative assistance: Respond to inquiries, answer telephones, provide information, assist with faculty meetings, order supplies, make copies, and check for attendance entry and withdrawal updates.
• Maintain program facilities: Assist with the daily upkeep of designated special program rooms and facilities, ensure working areas are organized and neat, and monitor designated areas as required.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma or GED, demonstrating an entry-level clerical capacity.
• Experience: Up to six months of previous experience and/or training in office work, or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience.
• Skills: Data compilation and transcription, basic mathematical aptitude (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), operation of standard office equipment, effective verbal communication, and functional reasoning to follow detailed instructions.
