• Mission: Lead and execute ECA covered transactions while contributing to strategic team initiatives within the Asian Investment Banking Division.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Origination & Execution: Independently contribute to originating, pitching, marketing, structuring, arranging, negotiating, and executing ECA covered transactions.
• Strategic Leadership: Lead and participate in strategic team initiatives and prepare regular internal reports, including deal pipeline and profit recognition.
• Portfolio Management: Monitor the portfolio of executed ECA covered facilities and provide guidance and knowledge transfer to team members.
• Internal Collaboration: Actively liaise with various departments and collaborate closely with the Global ECA network to foster a cohesive global team.
• Risk & Compliance: Ensure transactions align with the Bank’s risk profile requirements, perform thorough risk analysis, support credit approvals, and comply with MAS regulations and MUFG group policies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Vice President level role specializing in ECA financing and structured product financing.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of work experience in similar structured product financing, specifically with ECA finance, including proven experience as an independent marketer.
• Skills: JLPT N1 Certification (or equivalent business-level Japanese proficiency), demonstrated knowledge of basic banking products including credit analysis, familiarity with legal principles and documenting ECA finance transactions, robust business insight, strong technical skills, and business acumen.
• Bonus: Experience in transaction banking or structured trade finance products, a proactive, resourceful, collaborative, and team-oriented approach, excellent written and oral communication skills, and a self-starter attitude capable of operating independently with a customer-centric approach.
