Product Manager Shop Ads Creative Project Intern (Ads Interface and Platform) – 2026 Start (BS/MS) | TikTok

The Tone:
This is a project intern role at TikTok, located in a specified US city (likely Los Angeles based on additional context). TikTok is a global organization that builds the leading destination for short-form mobile video, aiming to inspire creativity and bring joy. This intern position is crucial for the TikTok Shop Ads team, as it focuses on enhancing advertising solutions, specifically the GMV Max automated solution’s creative pillar, which helps merchants and brands grow their businesses on TikTok Shop by improving ad creative quality and performance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Product Enhancement: Improve GMV Max creative products across management, AI-generated creatives, insights, and testing.
• Data Analysis: Analyze advertiser behavior, campaign performance, and creative data to identify user pain points and product improvement opportunities.
• Requirement Definition: Translate advertiser needs and data insights into clear product requirements, user stories, success metrics, and launch materials.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Design, Engineering, Data Science, Product Marketing, and Operations to support product execution from discovery through launch.
• User Research: Conduct user research, competitive research, and workflow analysis to understand how advertisers source, manage, and optimize creatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related fields.
• Skills: Strong logical thinking and data analysis skills with the ability to solve complex problems. Strong organizational, planning, communication, and execution skills. Self-motivated and responsible, able to independently drive projects with reliability and simplicity.
• Bonus: Prior internship or project experience in product management, ads, e-commerce, creator/creative tools, or data analysis. Academic background in computer science or related fields with technical experience or project work. Availability to work 5 days a week for a 12-week full-time period during Summer 2026.
