Product Manager Intern (TikTok-Product-Search Evaluation) – 2026 Summer (BS/MS) | TikTok

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at TikTok, likely located in Los Angeles, CA. TikTok is a global company and the leading destination for short-form mobile video, with a mission to inspire creativity and bring joy. This role is vital for the Tako team, an in-app AI chatbot, as it focuses on evaluating and improving the quality of AI-generated content to enhance the user chat experience. The intern’s contributions will directly inform product optimization and user needs.

What You’ll Actually Do
• User Experience Enhancement: Define product criteria that closely align with real user experiences to improve Tako’s chat functionality.
• Problem Quantification: Transform abstract user feelings into quantifiable experience problems, assisting the team in clarifying priorities and directions for problem-solving.
• Actionable Insights: Provide actionable insights to key stakeholders for future product iterations, utilizing evaluation, data analysis, competitive research, and user research.
• Global Evaluation Implementation: Collaborate with the international operations team to facilitate the implementation of evaluation plans, ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of deliverables.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.
• Experience: Ability to commit to a 12-week full-time work period during Summer 2026.
• Skills: Possess keen insight into user experience, strong data analysis skills, with the ability to identify product issues under guidance and drive problem-solving; clear logic, strong communication skills, and a spirit of teamwork.
• Bonus: Experience in search, recommendation, NLP, or AI-related fields; experience working with global teams.
