Job Description: Product Design Graduate Intern
SigmaSigma is seeking graduate students passionate about cloud computing for a Product Design Graduate Internship. The internship focuses on enhancing the visual identity of Sigma and strengthening the connection between its brand, product, and design system. The role involves a wide range of visual design tasks, including typography, illustration, motion design, and iconography.
Responsibilities:
• Owning projects from concept to completion, collaborating with engineers and fellow designers.
• Working with product management, user research, customer success, and support teams to gather user feedback and improve product adoption and utilization.
• Creating simple, elegant designs to enhance data exploration and insight generation for business users.
• Receiving mentorship from experienced product designers, gaining industry exposure to experience team workflows.
Qualifications:
• Actively pursuing a Graduate degree (HCI, Graphic Design, or a related field) graduating in December 2025 or June 2026.
• Located in the U.S. and able to work full-time (40 hours/week) in the San Francisco HQ between June and August/September 2025.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. during Summer 2025 (student visa acceptable, but visa sponsorship is unavailable).
• Demonstrated understanding of rational design thinking and research methodologies.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain design decisions.
• A portfolio showcasing breadth and depth in visual design, UX, interaction design, and research methodologies. The portfolio must illustrate the design process, showing design evolution, addressing business problems, constraints, assumptions, and how designs met user needs and project objectives.
