Graphic Design Internship Fall 2026 (On-site, NYC) | MATTE Projects
The Tone:
This is an internship at MATTE Projects, located in New York, NY. MATTE is a 360° full-service creative studio that blends hype, storytelling, and design. They focus on bringing people together to inspire new ways of engaging, provoke long term progress, and entertain audiences around the world, while helping forward-thinking brands and institutions achieve similar goals. This role offers hands-on experience within a creative environment, with direct exposure to the full design process from concept through execution, while contributing to impactful, high-quality creative output.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Design Execution: Execute engaging design work and visual assets aligned with overall creative direction.
• Concept Development: Contribute to brainstorming and concept development, bringing fresh layout ideas.
• File Preparation: Prepare and package final files for both print and digital production with strong attention to detail.
• Social Media Design: Assist in designing and laying out social media content and content calendars.
• Research & Trends: Conduct research and source imagery, references, and inspiration to support creative development, staying engaged with industry trends, cultural moments, and emerging platforms.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student. Must be enrolled in a University or Master’s program, majoring in graphic design or a related title. Creative Advertising, Media Studies, and Film Studies are also accepted with design-oriented work samples.
• Experience: Must be available for a minimum of 2 days per week to work at the New York offices, specifically between September 16th, 2026 and December 16th, 2026.
• Skills: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator); knowledge of Figma and/or In Design; skilled in design, typography, and branding; capacity to receive multiple assignments at once.
• Bonus: Adobe Premiere + After Effects proficiency is a plus. Interest in commercial film, video advertising, and social media content creation.
