Procurement Operations Analyst | Clark Associates

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Clark Associates, available remotely or at the Lancaster, PA headquarters. Clark Associates is a rapidly growing, multi-divisional company headquartered in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, supporting all of its distribution methods in the food service industry. This role is crucial for supporting critical supply chain and pricing functions within the organization. It involves managing inventory across the network while executing and maintaining pricing strategy to support broader business goals.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Inventory Management: Manage daily inventory functions, including order placement, vendor invoicing, and stock level maintenance.
• Pricing Strategy: Execute and maintain pricing strategies aligned with organizational goals for sales, gross profit, and operating margin.
• Vendor Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for vendor communication, including issue resolution and ongoing coordination.
• Strategic Support: Support strategic inventory planning and purchasing decisions in collaboration with cross-functional team members.
• Performance Analysis: Continuously evaluate pricing effectiveness and recommend adjustments based on performance metrics, reviewing reports to maintain ordering accuracy and streamline workflows.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. This role does not require a degree, valuing relevant skills and experience. Candidates should have an understanding of supply chain or procurement functions and how day-to-day decisions impact inventory and fulfillment performance.
• Experience: 0-3+ years of experience in pricing, procurement, finance, or analytics. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general familiarity with reporting tools, along with the ability to learn and navigate internal systems and databases.
• Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic problems independently. Effective written and verbal communication with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Bonus: Experience in a procurement operations, category management, or merchandising role. Familiarity with pricing tools, ERP systems, or business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI). Understanding of pricing strategies and margin optimization techniques.
