Job Summary

The Process Engineering Co-op will provide dedicated support to the Process Engineering Team during the Summer 2025 season. This is a full-time position.

Essential Job Functions

  • Participate in Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement Projects aimed at enhancing manufacturing capabilities, safety, capacity, and lead times, as well as reducing costs through process improvements.
  • Support both internal and external Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) projects.
  • Assist in the development and qualification of new products, processes, and machinery.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the department and the company.

Applicant must be actively pursuing a degree in Engineering or a similar technical field.

Physical Demands

The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of this job. This includes regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Required to stand and walk. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Amphenol CIT operates a clean facility, housing various machinery, equipment, processes, and chemicals. This environment may present potential hazards such as ergonomic risks, chemical exposure, machine point-of-operation hazards, and powered industrial vehicle traffic. These hazards are managed through engineering controls (e.g., machine guarding) and administrative controls (e.g., safety policies and programs).

In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear specific Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Safety Toed Shoes: ASTM F–2412–2005, ANSI Z41–1999, or ANSI Z41–1991 rated.
  • Safety Glasses: Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety rated.
  • Hearing Protection: Required in specific locations.
  • Hand Protection: As needed.
